The office of the Niepodległa Program, a multi-annual subsidy project set up to celebrate and publicise the centenary of Poland’s independence, on 22 May 2018 announced a list of applicants eligible for receiving the Program’s financing.
We are very pleased to announce that funding will also be provided to a project of the Kulski Foundation – The piano concert of Ignacy Paderewski music with the 1920s and 1930s fashion show.
More than 2500 projects, whose organizers wanted to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the restoration of independent Poland, competed in the final call for proposals. Finally, a total of PLN 13 million was allocated to finance 218 best projects, including the one implemented by the Kulski Foundation.
“Our project, The piano concert of Ignacy Paderewski music with the 1920s and 1930s fashion show, is a perfect fit for the celebrations of the Centenary of Independence. The Foundation wants to commemorate the outstanding Polish composer and great patriot, as well as to portray and familiarize Poles with the reality of the interwar period,” says Barbara Ratajska, President of the Board of the Kulski Foundation.
The event will take place on 20 September 2018, nearly 100 years after the date marking the restoration of Poland’s independence, in the Chopin Ballroom of the Bristol Hotel in Warsaw.
We congratulate all other applicants who have received Niepodległa subsidies!
The Foundation’s project is organised in partnership with Vision Group. More details will be available soon.
We were delighted to learn that TVP Kultura has become a media sponsor of our project.
The concert will take place on 20 September 2018 at the Bristol Hotel in Warsaw (ul. Krakowskie Przedmieście 42/44). The event is implemented within the framework of the Niepodległa grant program financing events commemorating the 100th anniversary of Poland’s regained independence.
“Our team has been working on the project for over a month now. Soon we should be able to reveal the name of the artist who will perform at this special evening and the fashion designer who prepares the first outfits. I am already convinced that it will be a unique event,” Barbara Ratajska adds.
