Mayor on screen

The story of Julian Spitosław Kulski was adapted for the screen by the Polish documentary filmmaker Hanna Zofia Etemadi.

The film entitled “Julian Kulski i Zarząd Miejski okupowanej Warszawy” fills the gap between the September 1939 Siege of Warsaw and the 1944 Warsaw Uprising, telling the occupation history of Warsaw and everyday life of its citizens. Viewers will see the efforts of the Municipal Government led by Julian Kulski, who takes up the struggle to save lives and possessions of citizens of Warsaw and Polish cultural treasures. Valuable, rare archives and wartime songs form an interesting whole.
