Uprising veteran watched NBA The Washington Wizards took on the New Orleans Pelicans on the sixth NBA Polish Heritage Night. It is an annual event organised by the Marcin Gortat’s MG13 Foundation, whose aim is to promote Polish culture among the Americans.
As usual, the Washington event featured special guests who helped promote our culture overseas, including Iraq and Afghanistan veterans (Andrzej Sinkiewicz and Janusz Raczy), representatives of the Polish community in the US, Minister Krzysztof Szczerski, UFC champion Joanna Jędrzejczyk and actress Alicja Bachleda-Curuś. Before the tip-off, Marcin Gortat also honoured Julian Kulski, a Warsaw Uprising veteran living in the US.
The basketball player also made sure that information about Poland is displayed on the big screen during the game. The Washington Wizards took on the New Orleans Pelicans. The Wizards won the game (105:91), with the Polish player scoring 12 points and 17 rebounds.
